Stenotic lesion outcomes better if fractional flow reserve guides PCI

Key clinical point: Deploying a percutaneous intervention (PCI) on the basis of fractional flow reserve (FFR) thresholds improves outcomes.

Major finding: At 5 years, cardiac events were reduced 23% if FFR-supported PCI was deployed but increased by 37% if deployed but not indicated.

Data Source: Retrospective cohort study.

Disclosures: Dr. Sud report no potential conflicts of interest.
